Barry Bonds and Gary Sheffield Took Performance Enhancing Drugs
By: Daniel Chubb | July 26, 2007 | Leave a CommentIn an interview with HBO Sports, the man who invented the performing enhancing drug, “The Clear”, said that Barry Bonds and Gary Sheffield took drugs provided by BALCO.
Patrick Arnold said to HBO host Bob Costas that he had heard BALCO’s founder, Victor Conte, bragging about Barry Bonds’ excellent performance on “the program.”
“I have a very strong feeling about it since he was on the program. And like everyone else, the program consisted of ‘the clear.’”
However Victor Conte denied Arnold’s claims saying, “The program I created for Barry Bonds was a comprehensive nutritional supplementation regimen and had nothing to do with the clear or any other anabolic steroids”
Barry Bonds is currently very close to matching Hank Aaron’s record of home runs. But is this the secret of his success?
