Australian Uranium Mining Ban Could Be Overridden By Commonwealth

However this could be overturned by the commonwealth, according to Professor Greg Craven, a constitutional law expert from Curtin University.

The Federal Resource Minister has also said that the Commonwealth is considering overriding the State ban of uranium mining.
With surging uranium prices, it is becoming very hard for Australia to continue to ban uranium mining, bearing in mind the massive amount of tax revenue that could be generated from it.
