The very pricey Qosmio G45-AV680 has been successfully and frantically manufactured to be sold at the understandable price of $3,199 (£1,599).
The laptop sports an Intel PM965 chipset with a 2GHz Core 2 Duo T7300 CPU, 2GB of RAM, two 160GB hard drives, a NVIDIA GForce 8600 GT with 512MB of RAM, 802.11a/g/n, Bluetooth, not two, but four Harmon Kardon speakers, a fingerprint reader, and a built-in webcam. Could we possibly ask for any more?
As the first U.S. notebook computer with an HD DVD-R optical drive, the 17 inch Qosmio notebook boasts a truly state-of-the-art multimedia machine that can impressively burn up to 30 GB of data, including entire photo albums, music libraries and those ‘home-videos’ that you just don’t want anyone to see, onto a single HD DVD recordable disc.
It was bound to come sooner or later, but at that price, will it actually sell?
