Sonic the Hedgehog to appear in Brawl was a hoax

A story hit many games websites saying that creator of Brawl, Masahiro Sakurai, would have liked Sega’s character Sonic the Hedgehog to appear to his game. He then said that he was giving Sega until Thursday to give him answer.

For all those Brawl and Sonic fans out there we have some bad news, as it seems it was all just a hoax. The prankster who started the rumor meant it as a joke, but he did not count on it making it on to G4TV’s news feed.

The prankster somehow managed to create a fake magazine which was written in Spanish, but after the story was scrutinized further flaws were found which then squashed the rumor.
