AOL To Buy Ad Network Tacoda

Apparently, AOL are going to buy the New York internet advertising company, Tacoda.

Tacoda is a behaviour targeting advertising company that was founded in 2001.

This deal would be the latest in a surge of action in the internet advertising market.

Recently, we have see Microsoft buying aQuantive for $6 billion and Yahoo taking over RightMedia for $680 million. Also, the current internet advertising king, Google, bought DoubleClick for $3.1 billion.

It is unlikely that this deal will be as big as the ones mentioned above, but it is still significant as it shows the increasing competitiveness in the online advertising market as the big companies fight for domination.

Earlier this year, AOL bought a German online ad-serving company called ADTECH.

Who do you think will win the battle for domination of the online advertising market?
