Motoczysz C1 and Ecosse Spirit ES1: Motorcycles pushing the design boundaries

A car chassis needs to be as stiff as possible, whereas with a motorcycle the chassis needs to have a bit of flex in it as there are only two contact patches on the ground.
The Motoczysz C1 motorbike has gone about the design of their new bike by reducing the width of the engine, the four cylinders have been arranged in a V, and this helps to give lower output. Designers have also adding a few more gears in the crankshaft.

The Ecosse Spirit ES1 has a whole new design approach; this motorcycle does not have what we would call a conventional chassis. With this in mind they have managed to sit the rider much lower than normal, his knees are also much closer together.
Both the Motoczysz C1 and Ecosse Spirit ES1 does have design features in common, and that is with the carbon fiber bodywork and also chassis components. This is very strong yet very light.
