Mike Coolbaugh, the coach for the Tulsa Drillers, has dies after being hit by a line drive in a baseball game.
Mike Coolbaugh was hit when he was standing in he first-base coach’s box during a game.
Mike Coolbaugh was pronounced dead at Baptist Medical Center-North Little Rock after the former major leaguer was hit by a foul ball off the bat of Tino Sanchez.
Drillers president Chuck Lamson said, “It’s a tragedy for all of baseball,”
“He just joined the staff and was a former Driller player. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family.”
The Tulsa Drillers – Wichita Wranglers game in Kansas has been postponed for the time being.
