Intel Cut The Prices of their Quad-Core Chips
By: Daniel Chubb | July 23, 2007 | Leave a Comment
Many people will be glad to know that Intel has recently announced some huge price cuts to its impressive selection of quad- core CPUs. For example, the 2.4GHz Q6600 has been slashed to $300 (£150), almost half the price it was.
Of course, those that have recently purchased them will feel slightly hard done by, but nowhere near as hard done by as the people behind AMD.
With not a single quad-core part on the market compared to Intel’s impressive twenty, how will AMD react to the price cuts?
