Hackers Take Advantage of Safari Exploit, Placing iPhones, Perhaps PCs and Macs Under Risk
July 23, 2007 | Filed under Broadband, Computers, Mac News, iPhone News

Researchers have recently discovered a major flaw in the iphone’s security.
It’s the ‘Safari web browser’ that the iphone incorporates that proposes a malicious vulnerability which allows people to control the phone remotely.
This, in turn, leaves room for people to listen in on a conversation through the phone’s mic, browse through your SMS log, have a flick through your address book, call history, passwords and so on, as much as it is capable of in terms of access of your phone.
PC and Mac versions of Safari are yet to be confirmed to be exploitable, however the same messages are to be put accross: Only use wifi networks you trust, don’t open any unkown or unreliable weblinks and most importantly, only visit sites you know and love, such as www.product-reviews.net.
