NAND based iPhones and iPods are using up some serious amounts of flash memory and it turns out that the major users and is reported that Apple iPhone & iPod will Suck Up 25% of global flash memory. If this is the case then this will mean which is no blooming surprise that prices of memory will go through the roof.

The market research company DRAMeXchange out of Taiwan who track the memory industry have also suggested that it may or should we say COULD take about two to three quarters before the manufacturers will be able to raise their chip yield rates to a higher level which also means it does not hold well for anyone hoping to see a price reduction on any of Apple’s handheld devices due to be increased volume purchasing in the memory department. So the question that many will want answered where does that leave us now?
