The recent story that I wrote regarding new car buyers choosing Diesel over Hybrid, seems to be all the more evident. With this in mind, Toyota has been forced to cut the price of their Toyota Camry Hybrid by at least a $1000. However before you rush out and buy a Camry Hybrid there have been some compromises, like the lack of the JBL audio system, electro chromic mirror with compass, Homelink, and also leather steering wheel and shift knob.
The new Toyota 2008 Camry Hybrid will cost around $25,860, and for that all you are getting is the Hybrid powertrain, a single CD player and steel wheels, Toyota are not exactly hurting themselves in giving us value for money now are they.
Is the whole Hybrid phenomenon now losing out to Diesels?
