FBI Investigates NBA Betting Scam
By: Daniel Chubb | July 21, 2007 | Leave a CommentThe FBI has launched an investigation into accusations that the NBA referee Tim Donaghy bet on NBA basketball games over the past two seasons, including ones in which he was the referee.
John Lauro, the defense attorney, has confirmed that Donaghy was being investigated but so far he has not given a comment on the case.
Apparently, the referee could have been involved in affecting to points spread of the NBA games he officiated in.
Tim Donaghy has been a referee in the NBA for 13 seasons and he has been involved in 772 games.
