New Mercedes SL and SLC all aluminum super coupe

Mercedes have two cars still in development, one is the Mercedes-Benz SL, and the other is the Mercedes-Benz SCL, this is said to me Mercedes answer to the ever popular Audi R8. Mercedes know that they need to give us a car that will come out fighting, and it looks like the German car manufacturer means business.

What they have done is knocked down the weight of both cars by building both the SL, and the SLC from aluminum. This new space frame and body panels that Mercedes will use is expected to make the vehicles about 10 to 15% lighter than that of the current model.

The Mercedes-Benz SLC should be available in 2010, whereas the SL should be available in 2012.
