Henrik Stenson Faces Fine of $2000+ for Damaging British Open Golf Course

Pro golfer Henrik Stenson could face a £1000 or $2,000+ fine after he damaged a tee market today in the second round of the British Open.
The Swede was evidently very frustrated as he took a swipe at a marker in that then cost him a double-bogey at the eighth hole today.
European Tour’s tournament committee will review Stenson’s action after British Open organisers the Royal and Ancient (R&A) handed the matter over to them.
“The matter comes under players’ code of conduct and if that is deemed to be unsuitable then action will be taken that may well result in a fine.”
I don’t think Stenson will have any problem paying the fine, as he has earned $2.5 million this year alone!
