Microsoft Windows Home Server 1.0: released to manufacturing (RTM)

We posted last month about Microsoft Windows Home Server RC1 and the $50,000+ in prizes, well Microsoft yesterday announced Windows Home Server 1.0 and released it to manufacturing (RTM).

The big partners of Microsoft will get the code in the next few weeks and that will mean official server products will come in September 2007, based on Windows Home Server (before it only stated sometime in fall 2007).

Computer brands who have announced products based on Windows Home Server (WHS) include Iomega, Medion, Lacie, Fujitsu-Siemens, Gateway and HP.
