We are going to break this hands on review in a few simple steps named, Introduction, The packaging, what’s in the Box, First Impressions, Usability, Specification & Summary. So please read on. Below the review there are loads of hands on photos.
G4 Slim Mouse Introduction –
The G4 Slim Mouse from Slim-Mouse.com is a portable mouse aimed at notebook users to make life simple and of which is a solution for those who travel a lot, basically designed for those on the road as the company put it. This laptop mouse named the G4 is slim and yes very portable that has and cool trackpad and obviously left and right buttons, it works via USB which is neatly set in the housing on the back of the mouse, the USB cable is wound up in a wheel that extracts and retracts. This mouse is a 3 dimensional mouse that slides and rotates ready for use.
The packaging –
When we received this product we was very impressed with the packaging which you can see in the picture above, it looks very elegant and expensive which is a good start. The box is a nice small size of 180 x 51 x 31mm which gave us the impression “yes this is going to be a small mouse”. Now the good part comes, yes the opening off the box, when we opened the lid everything was neatly packed and on the inside lid it had instructions on how to use the mouse which is good (no long boring instruction manual things are looking good. It even has a caution message saying “Mice module and the handle are assembled with a rotational hinge. Force applied to bend adjourning part can cause damage to the device. Do not press down the device with excessive force while in use. Excessive force can cause damage to the device”.
What’s in the Box –
When we opened the box as said above the product was neatly wrapped it what looked like to be a black cover, but in fact when we removed all contents the black cover was in fact the G4’s mouse mat (neat), inside this mouse mat was a cute leather pouch which contained the G4 Mouse, we opened the leather case’s flap and pulled out the G4, oh yes we like.
First Impressions –
First impression when we pulled out the mouse was actually impressive, the weight was all balanced well and the everything looked neat and tidy, played around for a while and to tell you the truth the inside of the box was needed to be looked at the instructions. Pull this, rotate that, what do we do to make it work, maybe we are stupid maybe we are not but what we do know is some will find it quite hard at first to get in working order.
Usability –
Right now we have worked it out, everything is neat and tidy so now we need to get the slim mouse so it is user ready. Holding the slim mouse in front of you with the 2P logo at the bottom is the front of the mouse, you need to flip it round left or right so the back is facing you. You will notice a round rotating wheel with the USB cable inside and the USB connector safely tucked in a housing, pull this USB connector out and the pull the USB cable gently to reveal all the cable, now the cable is released it is safe to rotate the handle, rotate this handle 180 degrees then rotate the mouse module 180 degrees, insert the USB into your laptop and hey presto it is all up and running. Once we got the mouse all up and running and plugged it in a light on the back comes on indicating it is working and this light is also the way the mouse works (movement of light). Using the mouse is nice, feels good quality and the finger sensitive pad in the middle works well (very impressed). The weight, the movement and the whole feel does really and truly work well together.

Product Reviews Overall Summary –
The G4 mouse is a very good device which is reasonably priced and of which comes in an array of colors which is fantastic because it will suit all users, the mouse which comes in a handy easy to carry leather case is very good indeed and the total feel of the mouse is stunning to use of which in fact impressed us so much, the only downside which is not a major deal but yet still a pain sometimes is that if you are on the move and you wish to get the G4 out for use it can be quite fiddly sometimes, in this we mean for the first few times when getting this mouse out and take the USB cable out, rotate it and get in the final ready position can take some time but once mastered to perfection it is a great device. We here at Product Reviews do truly and honestly have to say this device is well worth the money.
Please remember, because we have had this G4 Slim Mouse sent to us to review does not mean we will give it the thumbs up. If we did not like this product and we thought it was no good to customers we would tell you so 100%, but we have to say in our heart this mouse is a good product.
