It being reported on engadget and digitimes that Apple is bringing out the second generation iPhone in September for $249.
This follows our updated news earlier today about the next-generation touch screen iPod with OS X, so it does seem Apple are very busy at the moment keeping ahead of the competition.
The first rumors of a 2nd generation iPhone’s were back in May, but now it seems Taiwan’s Wintek has gained the touch-screen panel orders for the second-gen iPhone.
They then continue making the story much more real by saying that test production has already started in small volumes, also making it clear that Apple are intent on selling the new version of the iPhone in September for around $249.

Apple is an entity, and a single entity at that. One could say the various divisions of Apple “are”, but Apple “is”.
it looks good.
i like the style. And the price isnt too terribly bad
Some are referring to this possible incarnation as the “iPhone Nano”. The depiction of a rumored “iPhone Shuffle”, http://blogs.pcworld.com/staffblog/archives/004855.html, is too cool, though it may be so small that phone usage would only be practical with a bluetooth headset. Unless maybe someone develops an ear cradle for it!
