Alex Rodriguez Hunted by Red Sox
By: Daniel Chubb | July 17, 2007 | Leave a CommentAlex Rodriguez of the New York Yankees still has three and a half seasons left on his record breaking contract, worth over $250 million.
Alex Rodriguez, a.k.a. A-Rod, could get out of his contract with the Yankees this fall and therefore he would become a free agent.
The Red Sox are reportedly interested in bringing the baseball slugger to Boston and Alex Rodriguez will have to make a decision on where he is going within 10 days after the world series is over.
Alex Rodriguez said: “Like I’ve said all year, I think it’s something we’ll do at the end of the year,”
“I think it would be selfish on my part to talk about my contract status when our team desperately needs wins. My goal is to win as many games as we can, focus on my teammates and really play at a real high level in the second half.”
Alex Rodriguez leads the major leagues in with 31 homers and 87 RBIs, and he is batting .317.
“The one thing I want to focus on is getting a win tonight and play baseball,” Rodriguez said.
