Many health-conscious people know the benefits of swimming and this product (The Cal Spas New Swim Spa) is geared to environmentally conscious people and the company is offering a hybrid heating option on its Ultimate Series models.
Pushing the aerobic benefits of swimming, the new Swim Spa combines the exercise benefits of a lap pool and relaxation benefits of a hot tub.
Features on the Fitness Pro 4700 model include both a separate spa zone and a heated swim zone; this makes it possible for one person to relax in the spa zone while the other works out in the swim zone against dual swim jets that create an adjustable current of water which you can vary for endurance training.

In the exercise zone you will find 22 jets, two pillowsage headrests and one large multicolored light. While the spa zone has 25 jets and three headrests.
Other features include optional stereo surround system (with speakers, amplifier and subwoofer), optional LED waterline lighting and an elegant waterfall.

There are lots of Swim Spas around now; they have become very popular in the last few years and are great for exercise.
INITIALLY, we were so excited to purchase this combination unit. At first glance, it is a dream come true- a pool and spa in one. However, ownership was quite another thing. We have had continued problems such as the unit leaking, resulting in a constant pool of standing water. Many of the components stopped functioning right ways, like the swim jets and the ozoneator to keep the water pure. Now, our spa side smells aquatic and the cover gets slimy after just a week. Regular chemicals do not solve this problem.
Now, the worst is happening. Bubbles are forming in the fiberglass.
If you are in the market for a lap pool, you will want to look elsewhere. I am so disappointed that we spent over $23,000 to get such a lemon that does not work!
