Algeria and France Enter Nuclear Talks
By: Daniel Chubb | July 16, 2007 | Leave a CommentAs part of the French President Nicolas Sarkozy’s tour of the region and his attempts to create a union of Mediterranean countries, France and the Algerian President Adelaziz Bouteflika are reported to have initated talks on sharing nuclear technology and expertise.
Proposals include plans for the French nuclear giant, Areva, to train Algerian engineers and provide expertise to help Alegria move forward with nuclear power.
Surely this policy of co-operation makes more sense than what the USA is doing with Iran?
