Team Xecuter PS3 Hard Drive Xtender
This is the Sony PS3 Hard Drive Xtender which is designed by Team Xecuter and it will add more hard drive space to your PlayStation 3.

The Team Xecuter Hard Drive Xtender is a more flexible and sleeker solution than others currently available. What the device does is replace the internal PS3 hard drive with a plug and play solution.

You just attach your favorite IDE or SATA hard drive and save tons of money by having cheaper options available, you will also have a nearly endless PS3 storage capacity now.

Although you got to buy a hard drive, I feel the price of around $26 for the Hard Drive Xtender is pretty cheap.

Team Xecuter Hard Drive Xtender Features:

  • HYPERDRIVE USB2.0 Support to dump data to/from HDD
  • Switch between external HYPERDRIVE and internal 2.5″ HDD
  • Supports up to 750GB (that we know of)
  • Developing ability to connect IDE hard drive
  • Connect any 3.5″ SATA Hard Drive to the PS3

Erm? Why not just replace the internal 2.5 inch SATA drive? I really do not get why people are advertising this product. Why not just advertise the new 2.5 inch SATA drive sizes available. At least that wont void warranty like this device will.

how the warranty is going to be void if they have no way to know if you have used it? think a little…

Why not just replace the internal 2.5 inch SATA drive? Because those are limited capacity and you can get 3x the storage by going to a 3.5 inch drive

and also the 2.5″ are more expensive for a lower storage space.

Read your warranty on the PS3. Using a non standard SATA drive will void your warranty, its that simple. I think maybe you should read a little… If your SATA port dies.. then Sony will need you to send it back for it to be investigated, and the resistors that protect the SATA lines dont pop for no reason.

whats the big whoo rah about it?
