Second Life Companies Leaving for First Life

Now the problem for Second Life seems to be how much it costs companies to be there and set up business compared to how much money they are making out of it.
Fair enough to say brand awareness which I understand is very important to many companies, but TechCrunch goes in to detail on how much it costs someone to set up business and how many visitors they get (not many at all).
This may also be the reason many companies are leaving Second Life and focusing on the real world.
Other problems include the amount of people on Second Life at any one time apparently is only around 40,000 users at any one given time, also the 5 most popular corporate destinations in Second Life are getting a max of 10,000 visitors per week.
The costs involved for them to get this are also a lot which is why more companies are leaving.
You can read more on the figures at Techcrunch, but feel free to leave your opinion and do you think things should be made cheaper for companies in Second Life until more people start using the Second Life.
