Mets Hire Ricky Henderson: The MLB 10-time All-Star

On Thursday the Mets hired the 10-time All-Star Ricky Henderson, although it was not decided whether first-base coach Howard Johnson or Henderson would replace Down.

Omar Minaya said that “We don’t know what his role will be yet“, although we did all see Johnson fill the hitting coach role in Thursday night’s game against the Cincinnati Reds.

It has been a common thought that The Mets should have been doing better than they have done, this then led to the judgment that things were not going well and the firing of Down and release of Franco.
