Is this the beginning of Star Trek Teleportation?

We all know that Star Trek can teleport individuals from one place to another and yes it is still a long way of, but and a big but it seems that we are on the road to success in making this reality. Ok not on the big scale of teleporting humans but an Australian team of physicists are at the moment working on a smaller scale of teleportation scheme for atoms, the team have developed a way of transporting atoms which involves bringing these atoms to almost absolute zero in where they beam two lasers and with using fiber optics to transport them at the speed of light where they enter a second condensate and this is where they reconstruct. The team have found this possible by cooling down a group of atoms of which they shoot lasers at them which in return makes them appear to disappear.

Is it at all possible to use the Star Trek teleportation device one day in the future?
