Many gamers have their eyes on this gaming beast, but could only dream of finding the big $7,000 price tag (me included).
Most of the tests are very favorable on the 2.93GHZ Core 2 Quad QX6800, with a Ageia PhysX physics card, two SLI NVIDIA 8800 Ultra graphics cards and 4GB of RAM.
The Dell XPS 720 pumped out some really solid frame rates as you would expect from such a high spec and priced desktop. Even when Extreme Tech had the games set at 1920 x 1200 with all details turned up, max anistropic filtering and 4X anti-aliasing the frame rates still were solid.
All in all Dell have built a monster gaming desktop with the XPS 720.
