New PSP Slim Sony’s redesign of the PlayStation Portable
The all new Sony PSP Slim is not the PSP 2 that people have been hoping for, but this new slim design of the popular Playstation Portable is an improvement on the older model. The newer, slimmer, handheld console is not only lighter but faster as well.
There is no change in the size of the screen which is 4.3-inches; the PSP Slim is 33 percent lighter and 19 percent slimmer. Games load up quicker, and the best feature has to be the fact that the battery life has been improved. There is only one new feature to be added to the Playstation Portable Slim, is its video output capability. This allows you to play your PSP games on a large screen TV.
There will be three color types which will launch in September 2007, which are:
- The Original Piano Black
- Ice Silver Color
- Ceramic White
There is to be three pearlised light colors:
- Felicia Blue
- Lavender Purple
- Rose
There is to be a Star Wars Battlefront Special Edition
The current PSP weighs 280g; the new PSP Slim weighs in at only 189G.
The thickness of the current Playstation Portable is 23mm, with the new one being 18.6mm thick.
Expect to pay around $199 for the new PSP Slim bundles, which comes with a 1GB Memory Stick

i think the idea of making it slimer and is goood i also like how u can coneect to the tv i just wish the could somehow put L2 and R2
I think the new psp slim looks great and awesome! Also, I love the new Star Wars Limited Edition psp with Vader on the back. I can’t believe it even comes with the game Battlefront Renegade Squadron. But, one bad thing about the Star Wars psp is that the color is white. It doesn’t look too good with Vader on the back of the white psp. It would of been better if the psp color was ice silver which is another color of the new slim psp. It would of looked great with Vader on the back of the ice silver psp! Also I think the price is a little to high. It said the price was $199. It should be $170 or $180. Any ways I’m definitely going to get the Star Wars limited Edition Entertainment pack with Vader on the back!
