David Beckham to boost us soccer camps
David Beckham phenomenon is about to hit the US and not just because he will be playing for LA Galaxy but because of the boost that he is going to give to soccer schools.

This summer David will be running soccer camps in Maryland and Virginia and more kids than ever are signing up.

But keeping the kids past a certain age is the problem, according to Steve.
He says interest often wanes when it comes to pursuing sport professionally or through college.

The big scholarships and wage packets lie with baseball and American football - and soccer looses out.
Steve’s hoping that the Beckham factor will help attract more money to the game.

Most of the kids at the soccer camp already have their seats booked for the first match that David will play in.

One boy has said: “A lot of people want to be famous in America, and he has shown you can follow your dreams if you work hard. He will inspire people in America.

Looks like America can not wait till David Beckham arrives and starts playing football.
