Microsoft Xbox 360 Recall: should it happen
By: Peter Chubb | July 11, 2007 | 14 Comments
Microsoft has done such a good job with the Xbox 360, and has turned around their fortune in the gaming market by doing far better than the Sony PS3. The thing is they should be more honest to buyers of their consoles and games by admitting that the Xbox does have flaws instead of lying and telling us that a 3-5 percent failure rate is standard for consumer electronics products.
What we as a consumer would like to know is:
- Did they rush the release of the console?
- Did they cut corners?
- What is the true failure rate?
- How many devices have been returned?
- Was Microsoft aware of the extent of this problem before it launched the much revised Xbox 360 Elite?
Have your say; do you think that Microsoft should recall the Xbox 360?
