Ford says to dealers: Sell the F-150 and you could sell the Shelby GT500KR
July 10, 2007 | Filed under Autos, Muscle Cars, Trucks & Pickups

For those of you who have been living on another planet, you will know that the Ford F-150 has been the top selling vehicle in the US for 29 years now. But Ford now want to make that 30 years and boy have they got a great incentive for dealers to push out as many F-Series units as possible.
You would assume that Ford would offer a cash incentive to dealers to sell as many F-150 full-size trucks as possible, but no they have gone one better than that, and that is to give dealers a chance to sell one of only 50 Shelby GT500KRs, which are to be made by 2009.
There are only going to be 1,000 Ford Shelby GT500KR vehicles made, so dealers will want to take up this incentive as the markup on the GT500KR could run into tens of thousands of dollars.
