Transformers the movie: Best special effects thanks to Industrial Light & Magic

This is a hard one to answer, but when you have a great team from Industrial Light & Magic, you can be certain that the special effects that they incorporate into a movie will be the best at that time.

When you bring the transformers to the big screen, you know that you are under pressure to come up with the special effects that will make the movie one to remember. The whole process of coming up with a believable scene gets harder and harder as each movie tries to outdo the last.

Just take a look at this pivotal fight scene between Bonecrusher from the Decepticons on the left and our hero Optimus Prime from the Autobots.

Industrial Light & Magic had to use custom software so they were able to track the CGI version of the film camera. Animators then had to work using lower-resolution renders, which they then had to coordinate with the creature development team so they could then match up machinery and add the digital wizardry into the final cut. In just this scene alone over 750 parts were used which stretched over half a mile, there were 350 engineers who then had to work around the clock.
