Titan most powerful microscope in the UK: Sensitive to focus on individual atoms

The room in which this powerful microscope is housed, is in its own sound proof bubble, once you enter the doors suck shut and scientists who work inside do not talk loud, as the equipment is so sensitive instead they talk with hushed voices as not to upset the powerful microscope. If you was to talk to loud, then vibrations can be caused, which would result in the loss of an experiment.
The Titan is not any ordinary microscope, but a transmission electron microscope, it is the only one of its kind in the UK, and there are only a few in the world. The microscope will be used to probe new materials, which it is hoped that it could shed some light on many diseases.
The Titan costs $4.8m (£2.4m)
