Apple iPhone UK
The iPhone is going to the UK in time for Christmas and O2 have beaten its rivals to win the exclusive UK rights, many first thought it would be Vodafone as their chief executive has been pushing hard for a while to secure the deal for the Apple iPhone.

According to The Times O2 has won (although Apple still has to sign some paper work), as the iPhone is such big news in the mobile phone world this battle for iPhone rights in the UK was one of the most fiercely contested mobile battles since the £22.5 billion auction of 3G rights.

O2 has over 18 million customers and they look to benefit big time from this deal, with the final contract expected to be signed imminently (so its still not over to things are signed and anything can happen).
