Apple iPhone in UK time for Christmas: on O2 not Vodafone

According to The Times O2 has won (although Apple still has to sign some paper work), as the iPhone is such big news in the mobile phone world this battle for iPhone rights in the UK was one of the most fiercely contested mobile battles since the £22.5 billion auction of 3G rights.
O2 has over 18 million customers and they look to benefit big time from this deal, with the final contract expected to be signed imminently (so its still not over to things are signed and anything can happen).
