Updated news on the PS3 SIXAXIS rumble controller

PSM France has revealed some new news regarding the PS3 SIXAXIS rumble controller. One of the rumors that surround this much needed controller for the Playstation 3 is that it could contain Touch Sense. This is a much more sophisticated vibration system than the old PS2 controller, as it meant that the vibrations do not come just from the handles but from various areas of the lever.
With this touch sense vibration system, developers hope to be able to create a number of different effects, not just the standard effect from the old controllers. If the developers do achieve what they want with the touch design then the effects will be more powerful and more intense, as well as creating far more effects. If you are firing a gun, then you will fill a fast jolt from the force of the shot, not only that but when you are playing a driving game you will get to feel the road surfaces far better and when your car makes a gear shift or when you accelerate or decelerate you will feel it. Gyroscopic functions can cohabit with the vibrations – This means that a player can move the lever is quite lower at the speed of the vibrations.

Are you sure this is new technology? I could swear that everything you just said is already happening on the 360. Especially stuff like feeling the road when you drive.
