John Potts Arrested for Beating Peacock to Death: “I’m killing a vampire!”

There are mad stories and there are just complete crazy ones and this one is true. A man called John N. Potts who is 32 was arrested for beating a poor peacock to death because he thought it was a vampire. Mr Potts was picked up by the police yesterday just before 7pm after there was a domestic disturbance at his step father’s house, people said that he heard him arguing with his step father and that he menaced him with a shovel saying that “I’ll smash your face.”

Potts then was seen jumping into the waters of the Raritan Bay off Sprague Avenue with the shovel still in his hands, Police in the end coaxed Potts out of the water and a source said that they Potts was the one involved in the brutal attack on the peacock. The peacock was pottering around the parking area of Burger King at Page Avenue and Amboy Road in Tottenville Thursday morning. When the peacock jumped on the car that is when John Potts who is 135 pounds and 5ft 6 inches showed up, he then grabbed the peacock by the neck and threw it to the ground then started to stomp and kick it over and over again, Potts was shouting aloud “I’m killing a vampire!”
