Wolfe takes Foxx’s ‘Blood’

The fabulous George C. Wolfe (“Lackawanna Blues”) is set to direct the new Jamie Foxx drama “Blood on the Leaves” for Paramount Pictures.

Blood on the Leaves is based on the 2004 Jeffrey Stetson novel. The story centers on a district attorney who grapples with feelings of revenge as he prosecutes a black history professor on trial for the murders of white men accused of crimes against blacks during the Civil Rights movement.

Jamie Foxx, Marcus King and Jamie Rucker King are producing the movie, with Foxx also starring. The studio is searching for a second male lead at the moment.
