Sicko
The new film called Sicko covers the U.S. health care system, the filmmaker Michael Moore gets straight to the point on how he feels about the health insurance companies.

He does not try to be fair to health insurers, because Moore has a point of view and is known since his anti-Bush Fahrenheit 9/11 for speaking his mind.

Michael Moore says greedy health insurance companies shouldn’t exist at all and should be replaced by government-subsidized health care.

I know one thing for sure and that is the health care industry has not been looking forward to the opening of Sicko (Friday).

The health industry has replied by saying the film was causing them nothing more than a mild case of angina.

Some have said that Sicko is nothing more than a Hollywood editorial and it’s not a documentary, a spokesman for America’s Health Insurance Plans said that it should be seen as just that.

I strongly endorse Michael Moore’s position on universal public health care, but I also totally agree with the spokesperson for AHIP about what Moore’s film is. Moore’s film is an Op-Ed piece. I happen to totally agree with his Op, but not just because I have seen his film. I haven’t seen his film! I arrived at my opinion independently based on my own wider research. If more people start doing that, Michael’s film will have succeeded, even if the improved solution ends up being different than what he (and I) think would work best.
