Ninja Gaiden Sigma is the third release of this game and is exclusive to PlayStation 3 and is a remix of the original and Black and offering Black’s addition’s while remaining with the difficulty of the original. Ninja Gaiden Sigma offers up some new characters, areas, game play tweaks, and also the ability to play as Rachel.

With an extremely fast pace, Ninja Gaiden Sigma needs dexterity to handle but once you get used to lopping off heads shouldn’t be a problem. Playing Fiend Hunter Rachel gives Ninja Gaiden Sigma a new angle, however she’s is somewhat slow, but very powerful, although using Rachael means you will need to counter block quite often and waiting for the right time to strike the killer blow.

With the new take comes new weapons, Dragons Claw and Tigers fang, a duel-sword combination that is extremely powerful and can be gained quite early on in the game. The new tweaks include the ability of Ryu’s character to be able to automatically climb low ledges and boxes; you now have no need to tap the button so he can run on water; and the character Ayane now throws more message daggers your way with helpful notes attached on how to advance in the game.

Ninja Gaiden Sigma is visually one of the cleanest looking games around, the environments are good, the lighting is excellent giving the character shadows. Sigma is just as much fun to play as the original but better looking, more updated and refined characters including the ability to play Rachel a Bonus!
