iPhone firmware reveals processor: 620MHz ARM CPU Chip

Following on from the previous story of the Apple iPhone firmware update that was leaked, it has unearthed some great details about the iPhone’s hardware engine. One thing that was revealed was the fact that the iPhone has a 620MHz ARM chip, which keeps this cell phone running.
Some of the specifications that we were able to get from the Firmware update are:
- 620MHz to 700MHz, maybe more.
- ARM1176JZF chip with TrustZone
- ARM Intelligent Energy Manager
- Vector Floating Point Coprocessor
- SIMD, high perf integer CPU
- 16K / 16K cache
- ARM Jazelle enabled for embedded Java execution
- .45 mW/MHz power draw
Some other great news that you will like to know is the fact that unlike many of the other phones on the market, the Apple iPhone has exceeded expectations when it comes to battery life.
