Hour of Victory is another First person shooter WWII based game, and being so is relatively similar to previous WWII games of the same ilk. Start up the single player option and you won’t really notice anything that hasn’t been done before, and there will always be the Nazi’s, Allies, jeeps, tanks, and the like, if not it wouldn’t be WWII.

Hour of Victory centers round three character one of which you will be able to choose from the outset; the groups covet operative is Ambrose Taggert and carries a bayonet along with a silenced machinegun; he can kill silently and pick locks and cut wire fences.

The next character is British SAS commando William Ross, Ross can withstand considerable damage and still continue fighting; he’s a strong bugger, lifting more than the other can and comes equipped with pineapple grenades, Webley pistol , and submachine gun.

Lastly comes the games sniper Calvin Blackbull who’s an expert jumper and climber, and comes with deadly Springfield sniper rifle, and .45 pistol. Blackbull loves the high ground and works to his best advantage up high.

Progressing through the game is fairly bulk standard with all the usual moves, walk, run, crouch, jump, shoot, and throw. An onscreen HUD system keeps you up to date with the situation and whats going on around you. Any level in Hour of Victory can be completed using a single character but there are occasions changing character will help.
