The game itself was actually developed in Japan and Ubisoft did not manage to pick up on the offensive word, but a spokesperson for the company said “As soon as we were made aware of the issue we stopped distribution of the product and are now working with retailers to pull the game off the market.” The problem came to light when a woman from Belfast contacted BBC Radio Ulster’s Nolan Show, to make a complaint about MindQuiz.
Nicola, did not perform very well in one part of the game, and was shocked when she was then rated by the game as disabled. Many others have now since complained about this, which is why Ubisoft have to take the step to pull MindQuiz from the shelves.
