Perfect for any small office or household user, the Lexmark C530dn is a fast, high-quality colour laser printer which is network-ready with a built-in duplexer for automatic, double-sided printing. Lexmark have been taking steps to improve the eco-friendliness of their printers by reducing power consumption and material waste. This doesn’t just benefit the environment, it’ll help your wallet too!
As you’d expect from a colour laser printer, the C530dn is a little on the huge side. With the toner cartridges stacked vertically you get a rather tall unit - 19 inches tall by 17 inches wide by 20 inches deep. It weighs a hefty 57 pounds.
There is a very basic four-line text LCD screen, which isn’t backlit so will be hard to read in poor lighting conditions. There are eight buttons on the panel: Menu, four Direction keys, a Check key, a Back key and a Stop key.
With the C530dn, there is a 250-sheet input tray which can be expanded to hold legal-sized paper. There is also a 100-sheet multipurpose feeder that folds out from the front panel of the paper tray. The 250-sheet input tray can’t be expanded but we’re sure that it will be sufficient for a home user or small office.
In a text by cnet.com, the Lexmark C530dn printed black text at a speedy 17.02 pages per minute. It printed black graphics at 16.36ppm. With colour text, the Lexmark performed brilliantly with colour text printed at 15.94ppm and graphics at 16.56ppm. Even though the printer was fast, it never comprised on quality.
