Universal Pictures latest film, “Sober Buddies” is to star funnyman Jim Carrey who will also be producing the movie. The Story, about a hard-partying software exec assigned to a court-appointed Sober Buddy to keep him under control during a business trip in Vegas, has a lot of room for Jim’s comic ways.
The plan sounds perfect until the Sober Buddy (played by Carrey) falls off the wagon. The script is being written by Andrew Kurtzman who is currently penning a film adaptation of the cartoon characters “Mr. Peabody and Sherman.”
Jim Carrey is inundated with choices for his next venture before next June’s potential strike - he’s to play the title character in Tim Burton’s “Ripley’s Believe it or Not!”, as a gay prision escapee in the dark indie comedy “I Love You Phillip Morris,” and as a reluctant nursemaid to his ailing wife in the Fox comedy “Me Time.”
I’m sure Jim will wow in Sober Buddies and whatever picture he decides to do. Keep it here for the latest in Jim Carrey news!
