Star Wars R2-D2 Home DVD & iPod Projector from Nikko

Everyone loves Star Wars and if you are a major fan you will the all new R2-D2 projector from creators Nikko. This stunning DVD projector will set you back about $3,160 but do not worry about the price you’re a fan, this is a half scale DLP projector which features a slot loading DVD player and what is more you can connect your iPod as well.

The R2-D2 projector has 1,800:1 contrast, 1,500 lumen brightness plus 1,024 x 768 pixels resolution, at the moment the company plan to have a limited production of only 1000 units but we can see this number rising because of popularity. The remote control is unique because it is shaped as the Star Wars Millennium Falcon spaceship which in itself is fun; the R2 D2 DVD projector will play back all 12 of R2-D2’s noises from the mega movie and will project stunning high quality images (up to 80 inches vertically on walls or ceilings).

The projector has a built-in DVD player which accepts DVD videos & audio CDs plus MP3 playback, built in speakers, outputs for surround sound and a dock for a video-capable iPod.
