HP’s Colour LaserJet 2605dtn Printer

HP’s Colour LaserJet 2605dtn printer joins the gap between all-in-one inkjet photo printers and budget colour laser printers offering the best of both. The LaserJet 2605dtn has in built photo card readers and prints photos directly from a card, much like photo all-in-ones but also, like a colour laser printer it’s super fast and is more efficient when printing colour (unlike an inkjet). The quality of the colour and monochrome output is second to none and for the price of $699 you get a whole lot for your money.
With the 2605dtn, you get a built-in duplexer, two 250-sheet paper trays and an Ethernet connection for networking. There’s an LCS menu which, once you get used to it, is easy to navigate. This printer measures 16.1 by 17.8 by 20.2 inches and at a rather light 52.1 pounds it’s not the bulky by workgroup laser standards.
The printer comes with HP Marketing Assistant software which enables you to create marketing and sales material, HP Solution Center software which collects all your HP devices under one interface and the HP Toolbox software, a network management program which provides a number of troubleshooting, how-to, and demo videos to help you get the most of your new printer.
The HP Colour LaserJet 2605 can print black pages and 9 pages per minute (ppm) and colour graphics at 7 ppm. Not super fast but considerably faster than an inkjet.

I bet that after a few thousand pages, the fuser assembly will either wear out or need cleaning. Laser printers are too frustrating! I wish printers were never born. If you’re with me: destroyaprinter.com
