Spider-Man 3 has almost exhausted it’s blockbuster run but that doesn’t mean director Sam Raimi is thinking of resting. Finally, the director of hit Spidey movies speaks about what he’d like to see happen in Spider-Man 4 and, rather more importantly, whether he’ll direct it?

In an interview by MTV.com, Sam Raimi was asked whether his director’s chair should be kept warm in anticipation of his return to direct the fourth movie. Raimi said,

“If I can’t find the right story that would work for me and that I could tell really well, I would like someone else to tell that story. … But if it’s a great story and Sony will bring me back to the screen, I would love to.”

So after Spiderman has battled the Green Goblin, Dr. Otto Octavius (Dr. Octopus), Venom, The New Goblin and the Sandman who’s left for the next round? Sam tells us what he’d love to see Spidey fight,

“I would love to see Electro, Vulture, maybe the Sinister Six as a team. … But [Spider-Man 4] will probably have to start with the central journey of the main character to arrive at the proper villain.”

First up, it is my firm belief that venom/brock did not die at the end of Spider-Man 3, there was no corpse left, no blood, no bits n pieces and no evidence of a death, and ive never known someone to be in an explosion and have absolutley 0 evidence of it ever happening.

I dont think the sinister six is too great an idea, weve had Doc Oc and weve had Sandman already and in both cases the movies ended with these characters turning out to be not so bad, and The Kingpin was in Daredevil, and he got slammed in The Vault at end, the fourth movie will need a character who is relentless and shares no sympathy from start to finish, my thoughts, The Lizard, fair enough Doc Connors is a good guy, but the lizard is relentless and out of control, it might get a bit soft towards the end once Spider-Man figures out how to cure him, but The Lizard as a villain will never “pus s out”, im pretty sure The Lizard is an obvious choice anyway, i mean in every movie Doc Connors has been teasing us with that stumpy arm of his, its just a matter of time.

If not The Lizard, then Carnage, they should do the storyline of the Maximum Carnage saga, if you havnt read this saga, you definatley should check it out, its 100% awesome, except they should also throw a few movie cross overs into the mix, i mean, have Carnage, Lizard, Hobgoblin etc. but also have a hero for each villain, maybe bring in Daredevil, Wolverine, Johnny Storm (The Human Torch) and etc.

That would be an awesome movie, Spidey gets his butt mauled, Wolverine’s in the neighbourhood, see’s Spidey plunge from a 20 story building, Wolverine gets his furry butt up there to investigate and sticks a claw or two into the lizards body. Then it begins.

the villians i wanna see are

    1. Black Cat
    2. Scorpion
    3. The Lizard
    4. Mysterio
    5. Electro
    6. Vulture
    7. Sandman
    8. Doc Ock
    and
    9. Carnage

personally i would like to see the hobgoblin, the lizard and carnage as the main villians in spidey 4. plus i think sandman should return since he’s the only villian who survived so far although i’m not sure the same can be said for venom.

  4. MOTOPSYCHO says:

Trust me fellas, Maximum Carnage! All the way, think of all the villains, all the heroes, the mere thought of a movie that would have Spider-man, captain america, venom, black cat, morbeous and more fight against carnage, doppleganger, demogoblin, shriek, carrion, how fkn nuts would that be, but i mean, they should substitute some heros for others and some villains for others, otherwise doppleganger and demogoblin wont make sense
