Sony PlayStation 3 firmware update 1.82: from PS3 blog

Just thought you would like to know that there is another firmware update for the PlayStation 3, firmware 1.82 which should be released on Thursday. Sometimes we just do not know what the firmware update will do, but the PS3 blog have already let us know in one of their posts.
The PlayStation 3 Firmware 1.82 update will be able to enable the playback of AVC High Profile (H.264/MPEG-4) files, for those of you who do not know these are high quality files that you will now be able to play on your PS3.
Not only that the PSN team are very hard at work to further increase backwards compatibility. It is nice to see that Sony are now informing us when we are about to get an update

When you go for a PS3, its important that the required accessories are also purchased. I saw on of the articles that was clear and descriptive in mentioning the must have accessories.
