IOGEAR biometric fingerprint-reading mouse with Nano Shield
June 27, 2007 | Filed under Computers, Input Devices

If you are always worried about your personal files being easily accessed on your PC, then IOGEAR might just have the answer for you. They have now produced a biometric reader, in other words a fingerprint-reading mouse. What this system does is scan the identity of you or four other people that you trust to have access to your sensitive files; the biometric fingerprint reader has an accuracy of more than 99%.
The new mouse from IOGEAR also has the company’s Nano Shield, which is a coating to prevent algae, bacteria, and fungus, which as you can imagine builds up through the day on your mouse.
The IOGEAR mouse can also store user names and passwords for different websites, so instead of trying to remember different usernames and passwords, all you need to do is just let the mouse scan your fingerprint and you will then be logged in.
Expect to pay around $80-$90
