You’ve seen the dolls, you’ve watched the cartoons, now it’s time for Bratz to come alive in the all new Bratz feature film. The film follows the four Bratz - Yasmin, Cloe, Jade and Sasha through the trials and tribulations of being teenagers in high school.
The movie see’s the girls friendship put to the test as they are challenged with social cliques, and peer pressure. This being a happy movie, you can predict the outcome but that doesn’t really matter as this movie has a lesson to be learnt- true empowerment means standing up for your friends, being true to oneself and living out one’s dreams and aspirations.
This movie already has six posters - that’s right six and none of them were called the “official” poster. Well I can inform you that the seventh poster in the series is indeed the film’s official one and is a combination of all we’ve seen so far.
What do you think of the poster? Do you think the girls pull off the Bratz look well?
The critics haven’t really been fair in anticipation of this movie, but then again most movie critics are 40 something’s with no children who don’t understand the importance of movies like this in a teenage girls life. Bratz the movie not only proves friendship is key, it also mixes humour and fun to make this one movie that you won’t mind going to see with your daughter. Check out the trailer below.

This sucks! Why did they turn them all into white girls except for Sasha? The Jade doll is Asian and Yasmin is clearly Middle Eastern. The multiculturalism was what made the Bratz dolls so cool. When I was growing up there was just white Barbie or Black barbie and you had to choose. Why is the Bratz live-action feature selling out like that? As cute as it looks, I won’t be taking my little cousins to see this one. I’ll just wait until it comes out on DVD. Or better yet, on cable!
