Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer, Sony PS3 Game Review
Fantastic Four Rise of the Silver Surfer is your basic standard beat-em-up action game, which loosely follows the plotline of the movie. All the character are there for you to play, Mr Fantastic, Human Torch, The Thing, and the Invisible Woman, and you can switch character play via the D button.

Your chosen character will do battle with the Silver Surfer and Dr Doom over six levels that include locations such as New York City, Shanghai, and even outer space. However, a vast amount of your game time will be used with trivial matter such as opening doors to activate elevators and the like.

Character attributes are basic strong and weak attacks, but as usual each character has their own special attack moves; stretch Mr Fantastic to reach those out of reach activating buttons; the Human Torch can throw fireballs and fly; pound the enemy with The Thing’s immense strength; or turn The Invisible Woman invisible and use her telekinesis characteristic.

Upgrade your character’s attack power by smashing objects and collecting the tokens; although using The Thing’s shockwave attack and you will quickly learn that this is the best way of proceeding through the game.

All in all this game is somewhat disappointing in the game play and the visuals aren’t up to a great standard either; Mr Fantastic is only good at reaching high up stuff, and The Invisible Woman can only walk through certain lasers so isn’t much help either, so I guess that only leave the other two to battle your way through this disappointing game.

Personally I’d give it a miss.
