Blockbuster
This is another kick in the teeth to HD-DVD as Blockbuster has just announced that it has chosen Blu-ray as its exclusive next-gen-DVD format.

Blockbuster has over 1,450 video rental stores and this is big business for Blu-ray which will see high-definition Blu-ray films rolling out nationwide in July.

This is not guess work by Blockbuster as they had a 6 month test period in 250 stores with both HD-DVD and Blu-ray discs being offered and Blu-ray movies were rented more than 70% of the time.

I wonder how much of an impact the Sony PS3 made on that results, my bet is a lot.
